Introduction

As I continue to work on my graduate-level textbook on selective organic transformations, "Finding the Right Partner", this blog will share new materials as I encounter them in the chemical literature, both for updating Volume 1 on Carbon-heteroatom bond-forming reactions, and for completing Volume 2 on Carbon-carbon bond-forming reactions.  

The choice of papers will include some aspects of selectivity, whether chemoselective, regioselective, and/or stereoselective transformations.  Moreover, the coverage will typically be at the level that I intend to use in the book - which means that I may only cover a small slice of a paper in my presentation.   I hope that as coverage builds through the coming weeks and months, readers will find valuable insights into new developments and applications of selective organic transformations.
